Overall, this is an excellent property! Kauai is not a cheap place to visit but I thought this property was very good value. The staff were excellent, incredibly friendly and going out of their way to make sure your were enjoying your stay. The continental breakfast was always fresh and plentiful. The location was incredible central. The airport was a 10 minute ride away. The grounds were beautiful and well maintained. There were lots of Roosters, chickens, chicks, peacocks & cats roaming the property. I loved it! There was a fun Friday night social where they provide complimentary drinks & snacks & brought it a musical performer ( he was quite good!) and had this super amazing 13 year old fire dancer perform. House keeping was great- always restocking toiletries & towels. They have a HUGE selection of things that other guests have purchased and left behind on a first come first serve basis. It was AWESOME. They had snorkel gear, coolers, beach chairs, boogie boards, towels, etc all available to borrow for FREE. Very cool.

Location was good as we had a car. However, if you have no vehicle, then you may need to walk out further to get meals etcetera. But the distance is walkable as they are shops at Anchor Cove area. Breakfast was excellent- it was a good start to the day and they provided croissants, bagels, toast, muffins, cereal and yogurt as well and also fresh fruits like papaya and star fruit and oranges/grapefruit( did not try this). Coffee and tea provided the entire day. The area to have the breakfast was really nice and lots of tables and chairs outside and around the pool there was live music on Mondays, Wed and Friday night and we were there on Monday. So we had our dinner at the pool area while we listened to the music As for the room and bathroom, it was really clean but the facility itself is old( since 1930s I think) and so the rooms were dated - bathroom needs to be upgraded definitely although shower had nice hot water Bed was comfortable and no complains on that. Very warm front desk staff and also other staff were nice and friendly.

The grounds and staff were lovely. My kids enjoyed petting the cats, feeding the peacocks, chickens and roosters wandering around freely. We enjoyed the complimentary 24hr coffee bar and daily breakfast (fruit, pastries, oatmeal). Staff were friendly and helpful in providing recommendations and storing luggage after check-ing out. I loved how beach chairs, beach towels, umbrellas, boogey boards, board games, and books could be borrowed on an honor system. They were also very generous with the toiletries. It was a short drive to a convenience store and local food trucks and restaurants. We spent our days exploring Kauai- location was good for going to northern or southern beaches and didn't return until the evenings.

This was about our 4th visit here. The breakfast was a big improvement over our previous time. Breakfast has always been outside in the sun but on our first morning it rained so we took everything back to our room. There are quite a lot of cats live there but they are quiet and don't make a nuisance of themselves. Everything was as we remembered it. If we didn't like it we would have looked at somewhere else to stay.

This hotel is nestled within the hills of the Lihue area. It really liked the atmosphere of the outdoor area. The pool closes at 10 pm which is a perfect time for me. The breakfast in the morning was very relaxing with an amazing view of the mountains.
